High Tech Redneck 85 LLC (d/b/a Swipe East)
Last updated: September 14, 2026
Swipe East is a subsidiary of, and is owned and operated by, High Tech Redneck 85 LLC, doing business as Swipe East ("Swipe East," "we," "us," or "our"). This policy explains how we collect, use, share, retain, and protect account, profile, communication, security, and optional verification data. It also includes the disclosures required for our SMS text messaging program.
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in consent with any third party for marketing or promotional purposes.
Your phone number is used only to send the one-time passcode you requested. No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes under any circumstances.
Swipe East is a dating platform and is a subsidiary of High Tech Redneck 85 LLC, which owns and operates Swipe East under the trade name Swipe East. We do not run identity-document checks on members in the profile-photo verification flow. A normal photo upload may be checked for content and image quality; it is not proof that you are a real or unique person.
When SMS is enabled, we collect your mobile phone number for the following purpose only:
During this private beta, a phone number is not required to create an account. If the SMS provider is off, we do not send texts. These are transactional messages only. We do not send marketing, promotional, or advertising text messages of any kind.
To operate Swipe East, we process account details, the profile information and photos you choose to provide, discovery preferences, communications, safety reports, and limited technical and security information. We use this information to provide the service, protect members, enforce our terms, respond to support requests, and comply with law.
Profile-photo verification is optional. If you choose it, we send your current profile photo to Didit and Didit captures facial biometric data to perform active liveness and compare the live face with that photo. Didit processes and may retain the profile photo and verification media under the retention settings for our Didit application. Swipe East stores the normalized result and an encrypted provider-session reference, not the verification video. A successful result means only that a live face matched the current profile photo; it does not confirm legal identity, age, intentions, uniqueness, or safety.
We ask for your first and last name once during onboarding. Your first name initializes the name shown on your profile; your last name stays private. The private name declaration and your exact date of birth are encrypted in our restricted identity storage and are never shown on your profile or sold. A typed name is self-declared, not verified. We may preserve or disclose responsive account information when required by law or a valid emergency or legal process, subject to our review.
When enabled, optional identity-and-age verification sends those private details and your profile photo to Didit. Didit captures and checks a government ID and facial biometric data for active liveness and face comparisons. The identity-and-age marker requires the document to match your private details and establish that you are 18 or older, with face matches linking the same subject to the ID and current profile photo. Your public name is not replaced by the document name. This is not background screening or a guarantee of safety. An approved check establishing a minor may restrict account access, with support available for correction or appeal.
Swipe East stores encrypted private declarations, minimal verification outcomes and an encrypted provider-session reference, not Didit’s ID images or verification video. Didit processes and may retain that media under the configured application retention policy. Private-name or birth-date corrections require stronger verification again.
We ask for your affirmative action and show this explanation before opening the Didit verification window. You may stop before starting. You can ask us to remove a completed verification and its public claim by contacting us below. Provider-held media remains subject to the legal and retention requirements described below.
After creating a Swipe East account, you may see a "Verify your phone number" screen during onboarding at swipeeast.com. On that screen you enter your mobile phone number and tap "Send Code." Directly beneath the phone number field, that screen discloses: "By entering your number and tapping 'Send Code,' you agree to receive an automated one-time passcode text message from Swipe East (operated by High Tech Redneck 85 LLC, d/b/a Swipe East) for account verification and security purposes. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase." Tapping "Send Code" after reading this disclosure is your affirmative opt-in consent. During this private beta, you can complete an account without this step.
When you provide your mobile number and tap Send Code, you consent to receive that automated one-time passcode from Swipe East at that number. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.
Message frequency varies — typically you receive a message only when you tap Send Code. We do not text a code on every sign-in.
When SMS is enabled, we use Twilio as our SMS delivery provider. Twilio processes your phone number strictly to transmit the one-time passcode we send you, acting on our behalf and under contract. Twilio is not permitted to use your number for its own marketing purposes. If SMS is off, we do not send your number to Twilio.
When you voluntarily start profile-photo verification, Didit processes the current profile photo and new biometric capture on our behalf. Other service providers may host our application, store private media, deliver account email, or provide security and operational services. They receive only the information needed for the service they perform and are not authorized to use it for their own marketing.
We do not share your mobile number or SMS consent with any other third party, except where required by law, valid legal process, or to protect the safety of our users.
You can stop receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. You will receive a single confirmation message and then no further texts.
Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us at the address below. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Please note that opting out of SMS means we cannot send a one-time passcode to that number. It does not change the account-access methods presented in the app. We may still use a verified email for security notices and approved recovery flows.
We retain your phone number for as long as your account is active. When you delete your Swipe East account, your phone number and associated profile data are removed from our active systems. See our Terms of Service for details on how to cancel your account.
Verification records are retained only as long as needed for the disclosed purpose, safety, dispute handling, and legal obligations. Didit-held images and video follow the retention policy configured for the applicable Didit application and may not disappear at the same instant as the local Swipe East record. We will publish the approved live retention period before enabling production biometric verification.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to withdraw consent for text messaging or optional biometric verification. Withdrawal does not make earlier processing unlawful. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
